The Handmaid's Tale

Hello!

In today's post I would like to share with you my thoughts on the book I read recently.

A few words about the author.
Margaret Atwood, whose work has been published in more than forty-five countries, was born in 1939 in Ottawa. She is the author of more than fifty book of fiction, poetry, critical essay, and graphic novels. Her latest novel, The Testament, is a co-winner of the 2019 Booker Prize.

To my mind, talk about book - The Handmaid's Tale is at once scathing satire, dire warning, and tour the force. Horrifying and convincing. Makes you think: in the world of the near future, who will control women's body?

On the other hand, reading the book makes you feel impatient and dissatisfied. The same facts and information are duplicated, appear several times, in my opinion, completely unnecessarily.

After summarizing the main arguments, I can safely say that the book gives plenty of food for thought, which is great, while reading takes a long time and leaves you unsatisfied.
